Hey everyone, it’s been too long and I have some exciting news to share!

After 10 long months, I am ready to open my books again!

The decision to close my books was a decision made out of necessity for my mental health. After 2 years of building a software company with a newborn and toddler, I was worn down and spread too thin.

Massage is something that demands so much of me mentally and emotionally, and I just didn’t have the capacity. I knew I wasn’t bringing my best work forward for my clients and their horses.

I never planned to be gone so long, but that is how long it took to heal from the extreme burnout I put myself through, to get through the hardest year of parenting I’ve ever faced, and to get our software stabilized.

Now that I’ve gotten into a solid routine with everything and have ‘learned the ropes’ of running and maintaining a software company, I am so ready to get back to my original passion - working on horses.

Hello everyone!

As most of you know, I’ve spent the past 2 years developing a software program for equine professionals. Since its recent launch, the business has moved into a new phase that requires my devoted energy and attention, and I will be taking a temporary leave of absence.

This isn’t a decision I’ve made lightly, as I love all of my clients and your horses dearly and appreciate your loyal support, but I believe it’s necessary to see this new endeavor through successfully.

I’m currently planning on taking an 8 week leave and returning the week of October 10th with limited availability. This is dependent on where the business stands at the end of the 8 weeks and if I’m able to re-divert my attention to Apex.

I was planning on doing Swedish style massages today, but opinionated ponies had different plans. Skittles wanted myofascial and craniosacral work, and Cody wanted deep tissue work. Oh, and a chicken flew from the rafters and landed on poor Skittle's head 😂🤣

Roxanne is an Arab × Paint I had the pleasure of meeting and working on for the first time on Sunday! She had only been at her new home for 2 weeks, yet was so calm and relaxed. She wasn't even clipped to the cross ties for 90% of her massage! Roxanne is definitely a one of a kind mare 🥰 Her owner has a Vlog and asked if I'd participate. I see it too often: Fried horses

They are:
❌ Grumpy
❌ Tired
❌ Anxious
❌ Don't want to listen/ Mentally somewhere else
❌ Tight

It is:
✅ OK to give them a day or two off
✅ OK to give them the week off
✅ OK to work on groundwork and not ride
✅ OK to take that trail ride
✅ OK to just walk around the property
✅ OK to just groom and hand graze one day

They need to re-charge just like your phone or you.
