Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital South Inpatient rehabilitation hospitals provide intense speech, physical and occupational therapy to prepare patients for a return home.

We offer specialized treatment programs for patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation and orthopedic injury as well as other injury and illness. Our rehabilitation programs are centered around the individual needs of each patient to improve health, function and quality of life. Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities differ from other post-acute options most notably in the amount of therapy offered and medical oversight provided. We offer specialized therapy, rehab-trained nursing care, rehabilitation physician involvement and disease state management tailored to our patient population. Our patients receive at least 3 hours of therapy at least 5 days each week.

🌟 Patient Success Story: Darren “DCent” Copeland 🌟

After experiencing sudden onset weakness in his legs, Darren Copeland was admitted to the hospital, where he was found to have a spinal cord infarct. He was later transferred to Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital South to begin his recovery journey.

During his 21-day stay, Darren worked hard with our therapy team and made tremendous progress! His positive attitude, determination, and sense of humor kept everyone around him motivated.

Darren shared an inspiring message that perfectly sums up his journey:
