Our in-house therapy team, EmpowerMe Wellness, is always so excited to lead our exercises programs! 💪

Servant Leadership is a core value at EmpowerMe, and Physical Therapy Assistant Syntyche “Syn” Amor Amacio brings it to life every day.

When asked what Servant Leadership means to her, Syn shared:

From small, thoughtful moments to helping residents build confidence, strength, and safety in their walking, Syn empowers seniors to move more independently within their community.

EmpowerMe PTA Alanna Baclig brought festive cheer to therapy at WellQuest of Elk Grove with holiday-themed “reindeer games.” Resident Donna worked on balance and safe transfers while tossing rings onto reindeer antlers—sparking lots of laughs, growing confidence, and meaningful progress during a fun, engaging session!

After a fall that resulted in fractures to her left humerus and right patella, Verla moved into Longevity of Granite City to begin her recovery. Despite starting in a manual wheelchair with a knee immobilizer and arm sling, she showed incredible determination.

With the support of PT Paulina Milanowski, Verla progressed from walking short distances with a hemi walker to walking community distances with no assistive device. Her hard work—along with the constant encouragement from her daughter and granddaughter—made all the difference.

A powerful example of resilience, teamwork, and the impact of therapy.
