I didn't sign up for this...
Truth is, you don't sign up, you age into being an elder/crone. You often step into this position when you become one of the eldest members in your family and circle of friends.
It's a weird space to me, as I feel like the preverbial Peter Pan still gathering knowledge through trail & error.
With that being said, this is where I am in life. My mother and mentor have left for life beyond the veil. Before leaving they handed me this torch to carry, to light the way for those women who were born after me.
This is not something I take lightly. Therefore, I will offend many insecure men and women who conform to patriarchy. I'm not here to guide these people or offer them any wisdom that they are not interested in learning. I'm here to guide, protect, love, honor and cherish those women who will one day take over the torch from me. I hope to help these young women know their strength, power and beauty. I want to listen to their stories and help them write new ones along the way. I want them to break down barriers and create strong boundaries.
I'm here to help increase ALL women's rights. I'm also here to learn wisdom from these young women & their their experiences.
Someone I respect greatly & deeply care for as a younger women & friend recently told me that she sees me as a motherly figure. It touched my heart so deeply. I needed to hear that in that moment. I was trying to stay as busy as possible, so I didn't break down in tears constantly and she literally stopped me in that moment in time.
You see, I was, and I still am grieving Sharon. She was my mentor, my most trusted friend and she was also a much needed spiritual, psychic mother to me. If I can be that to other women, I have truly honored her life and what she taught me.
To all the magickal young women out there, I love you, I see you and I cherish you.
Keep shining bright for all those who come after you. Help guide them through their darkest hours.
