We are proud to celebrate our Program Coordinator, Katie Francis, who was honored with the first annual Lori J. Howell Excellence in Fetal Nursing Award from the North American Fetal Therapy Network.

This national award recognizes exceptional leadership, compassion, and innovation in fetal care. Named in memory of Lori Howell, a pioneer who believed families must always come first, the award reflects the highest standard of excellence in fetal nursing.

As nurse leader of the St. Louis Fetal Care Institute at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital, Katie has played a key role in helping grow our program and strengthening the comprehensive care we provide. Her guidance, advocacy, and compassion support families through some of the most complex and emotional moments of their pregnancies.

On Saturday, August 16, 2025, we’ll be shining a light on TTTS during the Cardinals vs. Yankees game at Busch Stadium.

Nayla was born at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Hospital 14 years ago. She recently stopped by with her mom and little sister for a special visit. It has been a while since we last snapped a photo together back in 2012!

Watching our tiniest patients grow up is one of the greatest joys of what we do. Thank you for stopping by and brightening our day. You've grown with Glennon in the most beautiful way!
