Cancer is having a major impact on society in the United States and across the world. Cancer statistics describe what happens in large groups of people and provide a picture in time of the burden of cancer on society.

- Did you know that 4 out of 10 men and women in the United States will be diagnosed with some form of cancer over the course of their lifetime?! That's potentially 40% of the people you know!

- Did you know that some of the most common forms of cancer are breast cancer, lung and bronchus cancer, prostate cancer, colon and re**um cancer?

Fortunately, as a direct result of the extraordinary advances being made in medical research and technology, more of those diagnosed have an increasing expectation of survival.

This is good news!

So, a few questions to consider...
- what would happen to your household income should the unexpected occur in your family?

- what financial adjustments might need to be made if the primary income earner needed to take some time away from work for recovery?

Optional solutions: 1) find a big bag of money, 2) inherit a fortune from your long-lost uncle, or 3) supplement your health insurance coverage with Critical Illness coverage.

Critical Illness coverage will send the beneficiary a tax-exempt lump sum check which can be used for anything the beneficiary wishes to use it for. And the premiums for healthy individuals are easily included into most household budgets.

With Critical Illness coverage it would be as if option #1) occurred!
