Gratitude isn’t just a feel-good habit—it literally reshapes your brain. Studies show that consistent gratitude practices, like journaling or simply saying “thank you,” can boost dopamine, reduce anxiety, and rewire your brain toward a more positive outlook. A small shift in perspective today can lead to real mental health benefits over time.

Taking time for your mental health isn’t laziness—it’s maintenance. 💜

Mental health days are essential for recharging, reducing burnout, and returning with focus and energy. Remember, taking care of your mind is just as important as taking care of your body.

“Anything worth having takes time. Growth doesn’t happen in an instant — it’s built through late nights, small wins, lessons learned, and the patience to keep showing up when results aren’t immediate. The dreams you’re chasing may feel far away, but every step forward is proof that you’re closer than you were yesterday. Trust the timing of your journey, stay consistent, and remember: the things that matter most are never rushed.

Therapy isn’t a quick fix. It’s a process.
Some sessions feel like breakthroughs. Others feel like you’re just sitting with the weight of things. Both are part of the work.

Healing isn’t linear—and it’s okay if progress looks quiet, slow, or uncertain. What matters is showing up. That in itself is a form of strength.

Be patient with the process. You’re doing more than you think.

If you ever need someone to talk to in between steps, call or text 988—free, 24/7, and confidential.

What is CRU?

BHR’s Crisis Response Unit (CRU) is a co-responder team made up of a behavioral health clinician and a police officer. Together, they:

✔️ De-escalate and stabilize crises in real time
✔️ Connect individuals to care instead of jail or the ER
✔️ Support residents, businesses, and patrol officers by keeping the community safer

This is what it looks like when behavioral health and public safety come together for a stronger community. 💜

Make room for stillness.

Not every moment needs to be filled, replied to, or documented.

Sometimes the quiet is where your clarity returns,
and the space you create becomes the peace you’ve been chasing.

11/06/2025

Sometimes the best thing you can do is pause.

Step away from the noise, the scrolling, the endless updates.

Let your mind breathe, let your body rest, and let your thoughts settle.

The world will still be here when you return.

It’s okay to unplug, reset, and come back with a clearer mind.

NPR’s Life Kit recently shared a thoughtful guide on recognizing when to take a step back from tough relationships or stay committed to working them out.

The article, inspired by therapist KC Davis’s book Who Deserves Your Love, explores practical ways to set boundaries and make emotionally healthy decisions. It even features a “Relationship Decision Tree” to help you reflect on whether to lean in or disengage when things feel strained.

Taking a mindful pause together 🦋✨

This butterfly breathing exercise helps calm the mind, ease tension, and create a moment of connection—whether you’re solo or in a group.

Inhale as you lift your elbows like wings, exhale as you lower them. Repeat slowly.
A gentle way to reset anytime during the day. 🌱💙
