I’m honored to be featured in Nurse Magazine’s latest article, ā€œ8 Surprising Therapeutic Techniques That Changed How Professionals Approach Patient Careā€

In the feature, I shared how personalizing therapy through a client’s interests can transform their healing journey. One of my most memorable experiences involved a client who loved painting and together, we turned that creative passion into a structured technique for managing anxiety and reducing stress.

It’s a reminder that therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all. When we meet clients where their passions live, healing becomes not just effective, but deeply personal.

✨ I’m grateful to the Nurse Magazine team for highlighting this work and inviting me into such a thoughtful conversation.

As a criminal psychologist, I’ve seen both transformation and tragedy.
But the question remains.
Can everyone change? what do you think?

When a client tells me this…my heart melts every time. šŸ’› Therapy isn’t just about healing what hurt you, it’s about becoming the woman you were always meant to be.
If you’ve been struggling to see yourself as a priority this is your sign it’s time.

It's my birthday today! and just a few thoughts...

When I was little, the adults around me often told me to stop talking so much.

I talked a lot… and frequently got into trouble because of my mouth.

But what they didn’t realize back then is that my curiosity, questions, and words would become my greatest strengths.

If I could hug that little girl today (as in the AI photo), I’d tell her:
ā€œKeep talking. Keep asking. Keep wondering. Your voice will take you places your silence never could.ā€

A little trouble never hurt nobody, especially when it’s the kind that helps you grow into who you’re meant to be. šŸ’«

You’re not the only one quietly burning out, you’re just the one hiding it best. it’s time for real self-care, not just survival mode.

So honored to be featured in Essence’s piece, ā€œExpat Diaries: Black Women Aging Abroad Are Embracing The Power Of Communal Living.ā€

In the article, I shared my perspective on the healing power of community on our mental health, physical health, and even longevity. For Black women especially, aging together in supportive, communal spaces is more than companionship, it’s cultural, restorative, and life-affirming.

Grateful to contribute to this conversation about wellness, belonging, and what it truly means to thrive as we age.
