We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who took part in the 2025 AOA Paraoptometric Appreciation Month Social Media Challenge. The number of amazing posts we received made it quite difficult to choose a weekly winner. As a result, we decided to hold a final drawing that included all practices that shared about their paraoptometric staff, and one additional winner was selected.

AOA Paraoptometric Appreciation Month - Photo Challenge

We’re currently in week three of our photo challenge and are eager to see the various ways practices are expressing their appreciation for their office staff.

A paraoptometric is a professional working in an optometric office who supports the doctor in delivering high-quality patient care. This role includes, but is not limited to, office staff, opticians, contact lens specialists, and optical assistants.
