-- Mental health is health—and our minds deserve the same care, rest, and compassion as our bodies. In the Black community, conversations about mental health have too often been silenced by stigma, strength myths, or lack of access. It’s time to change that.

It’s okay to not be okay. It’s okay to ask for help. Healing looks different for everyone, and choosing support is a powerful act of self-love and resistance.

Let’s keep creating space for honesty, rest, joy, and community care. Check on your people. Listen without judgment. Normalize therapy, boundaries, and emotional wellness.

You are not weak for feeling. You are human. And you deserve peace. ✨

Let’s dead the myth that we have to be “strong” all the time. If your mental health has been on edge, that’s not you failing—that’s life doing the absolute most. And no, suffering in silence is not a requirement.

Here in St. Louis, help is local, real, and made with us in mind. The Community Wellness Project is about making sure Black q***r men have access to support, conversations, and care without judgment or side-eye. Therapy is grown. Asking for help is grown. Protecting your peace is grown.
