Hey Yogis! Who knows if anyone still sees this stuff, but remember how much fun we had adopting a family of refugees last year? Well....
Christmas Charity Request! I can think of no one more fitting to help than an abused and left behind woman right now - read her story and how to help below.
Friends! We have adopted a Bhutanese immigrant for Christmas this year! "H" came to the US several years ago with a family member. This family member forced her to work long hours for sub-standard pay until she was kicked out of the home and onto the streets without any money. She had no other family or friends in the area. Despite all of these hardships, H was able to find work and a place to live. She is currently working with an immigration attorney to stay in the United States, where she is seeking refuge as she is terrified of returning to her home country. H is a talented artist and loves to paint and draw, enjoys reading, and wants to study computer programming.
