It is with heavy hearts that we share news of the passing of Dr. Nicastro's husband, Peter, earlier this week. Dr. Nicastro thanks her patients and their families for understanding about her need for some time away from the office. Drs. In case you didn’t know, it’s getting pretty germy out there! RSV and influenza are both circulating and are the cause of 60% of the admissions at St Louis Children’s. On top of this, there is a significant amount of viral gastroenteritis (vomiting/diarrhea), including norovirus and rotavirus. What can you do at home?
🦠Wash hands a lot, with soap and water. Hand sanitizer does NOT kill most GI bugs.
🦠Clean surfaces with bleach. Bleach kills most everything.
🦠Keep kids home if they are sick.
🦠Call us for help/ advice and try to stay out of the busy ERs and urgent cares if possible.

Happy official 2nd anniversary to all of us at Monarch Pediatrics!!

Today, we wanted to take time to thank ALL of you for supporting us at Monarch Pediatrics. It's hard to believe we have been open for 2 years! We are here because of all of you supporting us.
