STIs are not TMI!
They’re a normal part of health, and treating them like something “too much” only adds to stigma and silence.
Open, honest conversations help people stay informed, get tested, and take care of themselves without shame.

Tech is great for staying connected, but boundaries still matter.
If someone is using technology to monitor or control, it’s not just “being overprotective,” it’s abuse.
Healthy relationships are built on trust, not surveillance or control. Real care looks like respect, boundaries, and feeling safe both online and offline.

Deadlines have a way of amplifying anxiety, especially finances. You might feel overwhelmed or tempted to avoid it altogether.
Start where you are:
• Do one task at a time
• Take short breaks to reset
• Ask for help if you need it
• Remind yourself that it doesn’t have to be perfect
Delaying or avoiding deadlines can make the stress louder, but breaking it down can help quiet the noise.

When people hear “tech abuse,” they often think of hacking, but it can include:
• Constant texting or calling
• Tracking location through apps or devices
• Accessing private messages, or social media without permission
• Posting or threatening to share private content
These behaviors are about control, surveillance, and intimidation, not just technology.
The more we understand what tech abuse actually looks like, the better we can recognize it
Instead of asking why someone doesn’t leave, we should ask:
How can we make it safer for them to stay connected?

Did you know there’s a tool helping track progress toward ending HIV in the U.S.? Called AHEAD, the America’s HIV Epidemic Analysis Dashboard, turns data into action.
It shows where we’re making progress and where more support is needed. It’s all about smarter decisions, stronger communities, and a healthier future for everyone, especially young people. Check it out below!

Founded in 2008, the SPOT meets the needs of ALL youth between the ages of 13-24 with a comprehensive set of FREE medical and support services in a safe, youth-friendly environment. Our staff has met the needs of over 19,000 youth seeking medical care, social services, substance abuse assessments and counseling, mental health counseling, a safe place to hang out and much more.
Our philosophy requires that the SPOT be structured around the following guiding principles:
remove barriers that currently impede youth from seeking or obtaining health and prevention services;
create a center separate from a child or adult clinic environment that is youth-specific;
combine needed health and social services into a single setting;
engage youth in all aspects of the program development and allow opportunities for their leadership to be fostered;
successfully link youth into the existing healthcare system by addressing and eliminating specific barriers.
The SPOT is open Monday-Friday and provides the following services:
Drop-in: grab a snack, take a shower, do laundry, work on the computer, watch TV, participate in structured activities, and take home safer s*x kits;
Medical care: FREE medical services available Monday-Friday 1-5PM on a first-come first-serve basis (pregnancy testing, birth control, pap smears, STD testing, strep tests, etc.)
Counseling: talk to a licensed counselor about coping with stress, depression/sadness, anxiety/worries, alcohol/drugs, s*xuality and gender, work, school, trauma/bullying, or any problem or goal;
Testing: walk-in testing every day for HIV, syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia, herpes, and trichomoniasis, plus free treatment for positive results;
Case management: finding a place to stay, applying for public benefits, getting vital documents, job readiness and resume development, assistance with hygiene supplies and clothing, etc.
In the end, it doesn’t matter why you come by. You’ll always feel like you belong at the SPOT.
