🚨 Drug Checking Update – What’s in the Supply Right Now 🚨

Community members anonymously submit samples to us.
We then submit them to the St. Louis Countys Project Eagle Fang, where toxicologists break down everything found in each sample.

Not just the “main” drug.
Everything.

This information matters.

It matters for people who use substances so they know what they’re actually up against.
It matters for first responders.
It matters for ER staff and healthcare providers so they can respond appropriately to overdoses, sedation, stimulant toxicity, or complicated mixed-drug reactions.

What we’re seeing right now is heavy polysubstance mixing — opioids, stimulants, veterinary sedatives, benzodiazepines, cutting agents — all in the same supply.

Let’s talk about the sample labeled “City Red.”

It was a red and blue capsule suspected to be fentanyl.
The lab found 24 different substances in that one sample.

Opioids including fentanyl (16%), he**in, methadone, morphine, and codeine.
Benzodiazepines like bromazolam.
Ketamine.
Methamphetamine.
Co***ne.
Xylazine (trace).
Clonidine.
Quetiapine.
Baclofen.
Caffeine.
Acetaminophen.
And more.

When people think they are using one substance, they may be consuming dozens of compounds with different effects on breathing, heart rate, blood pressure, and consciousness.

This is exactly why drug checking exists.

This is public health.
This is overdose prevention.
This is keeping our community informed instead of guessing.

• Carry naloxone
• Remember rescue breaths save lives.

We will continue sharing results because knowledge is power — and in this climate, knowledge can mean survival.

If you have questions or want to learn more about our drug checking program, reach out.

💙 Wednesdays at MoNetwork: From Soup to Something Beautiful

What started as canned soup in a crockpot has grown into something much bigger — a weekly meal that feeds 30–40 people and nourishes community. Every Wednesday, folks come together around the table to eat, laugh, and reconnect.

It’s been incredible to watch this lunch grow from a simple idea into a steady source of connection and care. Sure, there are weeks when it’s stressful — weeks we think about canceling — but then we see the faces, the hugs, the stories shared over plates of food… and we remember why we do it.

We’re trying something new to help sustain this effort. We’ve set up a SignUpGenius where you can support our Wednesday lunches by:
🥘 Donating a main dish or side dish
🥤 Providing drinks or desserts
💵 Contributing funds to help us keep meals going

Every plate served is another reminder that community care matters.

🎒 Second Saturday Serve-Up — This Saturday, Nov 8!
Volunteer time: 10:00–12:00

We keep it simple. We keep it loving. We keep it moving.
Roll in at 10, leave lighter by noon.

Every kit we pack is a hand on someone’s shoulder.
Every hour given is a little more dignity out on the street.

See you Saturday. Let’s pour love so our city overflows. 💙
