Hello Everyone,
As I prepare to say goodbye to St Louis, there are a few things I need to impart to you, and I hope you read to the end, as it is the most important part:
1) My last day in the office is February 24th. I would love to see you all for a booster treatment before I go! Only 5 weeks left!
2) My office will continue to be a therapeutic space, albeit without acupuncture. Katie Young, Licensed Massage Therapist is going to take it over. She is also a doula and is experienced at prenatal massage, in addition to being the BEST at deep tissue that is comfortable and effective for most any type of musculo-skeletal pain. I have been using her personally for years, and have been sending many of you to her for massage, and I'm very excited to have her in this office space. If you have not had a massage in a while, or you have been looking for the most amazing one in town, please come in and try her out. Tell her you're a patient of mine. Her doors will open March 1st.
Please visit her website: katieyoungstl.com
3) I will be transferring your charts to another acupuncturist in town. I'll send more info on that at the end of the week. She will be able to pick up where I left off, and have all of your previously recorded history. Please let her know that you're one of my patients, and she will get into the charts and pull your file. Again: more info to come on this by this Friday.
4) If you have enjoyed our time together, enjoyed acupuncture and/or felt amazing while undergoing treatments with me, I'd love to have a testimonial! It doesn't have to be long, just something in your own words, that you would tell someone who was thinking about trying acupuncture with me! At some point I will be building a new website, and I'd be so grateful to have a testimonial section that speaks to my quality of care. You can reply directly to this email.
and finally
5) I realize that it is perhaps unprofessional for a healthcare provider to form bonds with patients in the way I have with so many of you over the last 5 years. You have all personally enriched my life in St Louis, while I have been away from my family, and "floating in the Midwest" by myself. You have been my family instead. I have grown so much as a practitioner as a result of your candid conversations and awesome vulnerability in the treatment room, so I thank you for entrusting me with your health and your hearts on your quest to feel better. Words can't really explain the gratitude I feel for you, the thanks I owe you and also the heartbreak I feel in leaving you. I hope you can feel and understand what I'm trying to impart.
I will continue to use this email address, so if ever you need to get ahold of me in the future, I'd love to hear from you.
With Warm Regards, your Acupuncturist,
Danielle
