A woman I saw recently reminded me why I do what I do. She had never had a massage before and was nervous it would hurt. I explained to her it doesn’t have to hurt. She was reluctant but went ahead with the massage. She was in a hospital bed and wore a tank top and shorts. She had limited mobility so I couldn’t do much for her back. I gave her shoulders, neck, arms, hands, legs, and feet a lot of attention. I had to remind her to relax her hands a couple times, as she was clenching them. At the end when her daughter asked her how she felt she said she felt like a wet noodle. The massage had felt so good and she couldn’t wait to have another one. It was rewarding to be able to show someone just how amazing massage can be!
