✋Gentle reminder: the patients who allow me to post their journeys and photos are kind, selfless people.
They allow me to share their stories because previous posts have helped them and they want to “pay it forward” to future and prospective patients.
Most of my followers, in turn, are interested in learning more about state-of-the-art facial plastic surgery - preservation deep plane facelift, deep necklift, rhinoplasty, browlift, blepharoplasty (eyelid) surgery, Botox, lasers, fillers, fat transfer, and more.
Some are considering surgery themselves, some have already had surgery and are looking for encouragement while they heal, and others are simply fascinated with my patients’ stories and transformations.
Almost all cheer my patients on and support them during a uniquely vulnerable moment in their lives.
A few outliers, however, don’t fit into any of the categories above.
When I post a patient recovering from a facelift, they ask why they didn’t have their nose “fixed.”
When I show a rhinoplasty reveal, they ask why they didn’t also get lip filler.
They assume every patient wants every single thing about their entire face changed…
That the patient didn’t carefully consider what is most important to them and best fits their health status, budget, and lifestyle…
That the patients themselves are not reading the comments, criticisms, insults, and harsh judgments…
Or maybe these outliers believe “anything goes on social media” and it is ok to be rude in their comments about someone who is putting themselves in a vulnerable position solely for the benefit of others.
