🔥🔥Ella is 59 years old and had the prettiest eyes, face, and smile even before surgery.

✨She did, however, suffer from a subtle case of dimming of her sparkle (I learned that diagnosis at Harvard 😂)

🕸️What’s with the crazy spiderweb sutures?

They are called Auersvald hemostatic net sutures.

I sometimes call them a “safety net.”

The net is an elegant way to control bleeding and blood collection in high risk patients.

Which patients pose higher risk?

Women who bleed excessively during surgery, and all male facelift patients.

These types of patients used to cause me incredible stress.

Thankfully, not anymore. This Auersvald netting technique allows me to safely complete the surgery and not worry about a postoperative bleeding complication.

I remove them between two and five days after surgery, and no, they do not leave marks.

About this patient: John was 65 years old and his neck really, really bothered him.

In the “before” photos, he had already undergone both chin liposuction and suture suspension necklift.

They left him disappointed.

In the“after” photos, he is shown at age 66, 1 year after a deep plane extended facelift, deep necklift, and just enough of a brow lift to prevent his temples from bunching.

As with most cases, to really improve the neck maximally, I had to continue the lifting up past the jawline and into the brow.

Despite the face and browlift, he retains the handsome, smoldering look he has always had, and is not feminized in the least.

🤬 Ashley, 50, was a tough case for many reasons.

First, she had significant filler irregularities under her eyes - despite previous attempts at reversal.

Second, she bled excessively during surgery. This made executing a safe surgery tedious and challenging, and required the use of the hemostatic “safety net” suturing (seen in her “day 1” photos) to decrease the chance of blood collection under the skin.

Finally, and most importantly, she was already beautiful and looking for a subtle yet powerful refresh.

Her deep plane facelift, deep necklift, minimal incision browlift, blepharoplasties, fat transfer, and lower eyelid laser resurfacing hit the mark.

She looks markedly – yet undetectably – rejuvenated.

She is herself, elevated.
