Veterans Caring for Veterans – Local Caregiver Opportunity

Care Solutions In-Home Services is a local home care provider supporting veterans through the VA Community Care Network. We are currently seeking veterans and veteran-aligned caregivers who want to continue serving by caring for fellow veterans right here in our community.

Many veterans prefer caregivers who understand military culture, service-connected challenges, and the importance of dignity and respect. If you’ve served—or supported someone who has—your experience truly matters.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist veterans with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
- Provide safe transfers and mobility support (gait belts, Hoyer lifts – training provided)
- Offer medication reminders and observe/report changes in condition
- Support veterans with service-connected disabilities, chronic conditions, dementia, PTSD, or recovery after illness
- Prepare meals, assist with light housekeeping, and maintain a safe home environment
- Provide companionship, structure, and reassurance
- Document care using EVV/EHR systems in alignment with VA Community Care requirements
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance

Qualifications:
- Veterans strongly encouraged to apply (all branches welcome)
Caregiving, healthcare, or service-related experience preferred (training provided)
- Clean background check and drug screen
- Reliable transportation
- CPR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Commitment to respectful, veteran-centered care
