We are — and always have been — privately owned and operated. No corporate funds or private equity is or has been involved.

Dr. Dawnetta & her small team built this business from the ground up, with a few goals in mind:
💜 To provide compassionate end-of-life care to our community
💙 To create a first-of-its kind comfort center, as an option when the vet clinic didn’t seem quite right, but neither did in-home euthanasia
💜 To create something fully local and more personalized than what corporate companies offer

And to do that, our team took on significant personal risk to build and grow this practice for you and your pets.

Here’s the reality about vet med that most people don’t see:

💜💙Only about 25% of veterinary practices are still privately owned.

That means:
💜 We often pay double or even triple for medications & supplies compared to corporate companies with massive buying power pay for the exact same items.
💙 We don’t get the same bulk discounts or incentives
💜 We operate in a much more challenging financial environment

💙 We promise you will speak with a local person when you call our office – not someone in a national call center
💜 We practice end-of-life medicine the way we believe is best
💙 We can adapt quickly to meet the needs of our community
💜 We put patients and people over profit-driven policies

We received a kind donation in honor of a sweet, beautiful girl named Lilly 💜 Her family makes donations in Lilly's honor to not only our Rainbow Fund, but to other rescues and charitable funds around the area. Lilly was loved so deeply during her time here, and that love never stops! Her life continues on in the beautiful memories, and the legacy of the love that Lilly shared with her family continues to help other pets and people ❤
