Today we visited the Missouri History Museum and experienced the Mill Creek: Black Metropolis exhibit.
What stood out most is how this wasn’t just a neighborhood it was a thriving community full of life, culture, and history that was later erased by urban renewal… displacing 20,000 people. Walking through it really puts into perspective how much was lost and why these stories still matter today.
