More capacity. More convenience. More access to advanced cancer care.

The second linear particle accelerator (LINAC) at Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital is now up and running, expanding radiation therapy options for patients closer to home. Both LINACs at Siteman–West County deliver precise external beam radiotherapy for the treatment of breast, head and neck, genitourinary, skin, lung and bone cancers, as well as sarcomas, lymphoma and gastrointestinal cancers including colorectal, liver and pancreatic cancer.

What childhood cancer survivors eat after treatment may matter more than we think.

New research from WashU Medicine and Siteman Cancer Center found that a healthy diet could help reduce the risk of premature aging in adult survivors of childhood cancer. It's a reminder that survivorship goes beyond treatment, and that nutrition plays a role in long-term health.

A recent study found reduced premature aging among childhood cancer survivors that adhered to established dietary guidelines.

Some bonds are tested in ways no family should have to face. First, it was Kaylea. Then it was her sister, Audrey. Two cancer diagnoses, one family, and a love that held them together through all of it.

Happy National Siblings Day.
