Randall “Randy” David Winkler, 73, of Benton, Missouri, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2025. Born on March 26, 1952, Randy filled his years with laughter, family, adventure, and an unwavering love for the outdoors.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Rick, and his sister Denise. He is survived by the family he loved so deeply: his stepdaughters, Shannon (Larry) Thrower and Jennifer (Ty) Dohack; his stepson, David (Jessica) Edwards; and five grandsons who lit up his life — Collin, Caden, Jaxon, Brody, and Ryker.

Randy had many gifts — a talented landscaper, an avid fisherman, and a devoted dove and duck hunter — but what made him stand out most was his infectious personality, his charm, and his steadfast devotion to those he loved. He was the kind of man who showed up, always. Whether with a helping hand, a good story, or a reason to smile, he made those around him feel valued and supported.

His greatest joy was being outside, rod in hand, waiting for that perfect bite on the water. As a passionate tournament bass fisherman, he found peace and purpose with every cast. And every year, without fail, he looked forward to opening day of dove season in Southeast Missouri — a tradition he cherished and proudly kept, season after season.

Randy’s legacy is one of kindness, dedication, and simple, genuine love. The memories he created — early mornings in his boat on the lake, waiting quietly for the doves in a freshly cut cornfield, jokes shared in the truck, strumming his guitar and making up songs, ci******es and Diet Coke, and the stories told again and again — will forever ripple through the hearts of those who knew him.

He will be missed beyond measure and remembered with a smile by all who were blessed to be part of his life.

Celebration of Life for Randy will be Saturday Jan 31st at the Conservation Club (2567 US HWY 61, Festus MO) from 2pm-6pm.

Joan Alice Watson loved her family more than anything and was quick to introduce them to anyone she met.

She was married to the love of her life for 65 years, Robert S Watson. Mother to Robyn (Greg) Duenwald, the late Robert C Watson, Rebecca (Tim) Perry, and Jamie (the late Brent) Riggins. Grandmother to Zack (Katie), Amber, Craig, John David (Andrea), Lauren, Justin, Megan (Chris), Brett, Austin, Landon, and Audrey, and great grandmother to Camrynn, Nolan, Bailey, William, and Mack. Sister to Karen Roussin, Rick, and the late Michelle Barmann. Aunt to Jason. She was loved and will be missed by all.

She was quick to make friends with whomever she met – if she didn’t know you when she met you, she made sure to know you now.

Joan held a variety of jobs but her calling and passion was being a hairdresser for the elderly in nursing homes. She wanted everyone to feel and look good.

She was an avid gardener and proud to show off her many accomplishments. She looked forward to feeding “her” hummingbirds every year. She loved taking road trips to Colorado, New Mexico, and Oklahoma. The Native American people in Oklahoma were her favorite, always saying how nice and friendly everyone there was to her and Bob.

Joan and Bob owned a house at the Lake of the Ozarks and a condo in Panama City Beach, Florida. These were two of her favorite second homes that she took great pride in having family and friends visit.

She was especially proud to make her mac n cheese that all of her grandkids looked forward to and devoured at every holiday and family gathering.

She found joy and excitement in her visits to the casino. She talked with many people there and enjoyed receiving her "free" gifts, always making sure to pick out ones that she felt someone she loved would enjoy receiving for birthday and Christmas.

In her final days, she told nurses “I’m happy I met you”. She was a fighter, determined to get better and fought until the end, often telling the doctors “I’m going to get better and walk out of here”. The doctors and nurses made her feel safe and took excellent care of her. She said repeatedly how everyone there treated her with kindness and care and she was grateful to all of them.
