Did you know, Mental health disorders in adolescents can manifest in various ways. Common signs and symptoms include:

1. Changes in Mood: Persistent sadness, anxiety, or irritability that lasts for several weeks.
2. Social Withdrawal: Pulling away from friends, family, and activities they once enjoyed.
3. Changes in Appetite or Sleep: Significant weight gain or loss, or changes in sleeping patterns (insomnia or oversleeping).
4. Decline in Academic Performance: Sudden drop in grades, lack of motivation, or difficulty concentrating.
5. Loss of Energy: Constant fatigue or lack of enthusiasm for activities.
6. Feelings of Hopelessness: Expressing negative thoughts about themselves or the future.
7. Increased Sensitivity: Heightened emotional responses, or feeling overwhelmed by everyday situations.
8. Self-Harm: Engaging in self-injurious behaviors as a way to cope with emotional pain.
9. Substance Use: Experimenting with alcohol, drugs, or other risky behaviors.
10. Erratic Behavior: Sudden outbursts, changes in personality, or engaging in reckless activities.
