The Minnesota Society for Public Health Education (MN SOPHE) is a professional membership organization.

Our mission is to exemplify leadership and strengthen public health education for students and professionals in pursuit of health and wellness for all. MN SOPHE provides leadership to the profession of health education, health promotion, and public health, and promotes our communities’ health.

This Women’s History Month, MN-SOPHE recognizes women who have helped shape public health education and strengthened health equity across communities.

Dr. Helen Rodríguez-Trías was a pediatrician and public health advocate who championed equitable access to maternal and reproductive healthcare and reinforced the role of community engagement in advancing public health.

Public health is stronger because of women who lead with prevention, equity, and systems-level thinking.
