Laser texturing is a complete digital process allowing even the most complex custom patterns to be rendered digitally giving the customer the opportunity to make any final adjustments prior to any texture being applied.

Our process is below:
- First, we start with your mold design as a stp or iges file we select the surfaces to be textured.
- Next, we mesh and flatten the surfaces the pattern is to be applied to.
*With the use of high-resolution gray scale images, the pattern is applied to the mesh allowing us to achieve seamless patterns with minimal deformation on even the most complex geometries.
- From here the renderings are created of what the finished part will look like; enabling designers the opportunity to apply final adjustments.

Let's take a closer look at the application complete for the fi****ms industry.

In this application example we utilized our lasers to texture a custom designed pattern into a fi****ms mold. We used our render and design software to help create and edit this pattern to work within the mold design and draft requirements for proper function and ascetic appeal. . This project required high attention to detail to ensure the mold could function properly with such an aggressive geometric pattern. During this application we removed certain features and blended out depth to allow for proper release from the mold.

With laser texturing being a completely digital process we were able to edit, render and sample the pattern before we laser texture the mold components. This allows us the opportunity to adjust the pattern to align along features and straight edges.

We then began applying the approved pattern to the mold components. This project required blending to various depths and removal of certain pattern features to ensure function and quality of the finished part. Have further questions? Contact us today!
