Do You Have Kidney Disease and Not Know It? 🩺

Kidney disease often develops silently, with few or no symptoms in the early stages. Many people do not realize there is a problem until kidney function has already declined.

Common warning signs may include:
• Swelling in the feet, ankles, or hands
• Fatigue or weakness
• Changes in urination
• Trouble concentrating
• High blood pressure

People with diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, or a family history of kidney disease may be at greater risk. Regular checkups and simple lab tests can help detect kidney problems early, when treatment can be most effective.

If you have risk factors, talk with your healthcare provider about kidney screening.
