Stafford County Hospital welcomed a special group of visitors yesterday. The Stafford Elementary 2nd graders stopped by for an exciting, behind-the-scenes tour of the many departments that work together to care for patients every day.
The students had the opportunity to explore a wide range of areas, including nursing, lab, radiology, maintenance, respiratory therapy, environmental services, dietary, physical therapy, materials management, the business office, and medical records. Each department shared age-appropriate insights into their roles, helping students understand how every team member contributes to keeping the hospital running smoothly and patients safe.
From seeing how lab samples are processed to learning about X-ray equipment in radiology, the students were full of curiosity and great questions. They especially enjoyed hands-on moments and meeting the staff who make a difference in the community every day.
We’re proud to be part of a community that inspires learning and helps spark interest in future healthcare careers. Thanks for visiting—we loved having you! 🏥
