Legacy Community Health, Legacy Pharmacies, and Wellness Bar by Legacy will be closed on Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28 for Thanksgiving.

Pediatric Walk-In:
Our pediatric walk-in clinic at Legacy Southwest (6441 High Star Drive, Houston, TX 77074) will be open on Friday, November 28 from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm.

The Legacy Montrose and Southwest Clinics will resume normal hours on Saturday, November 29. Legacy Pharmacy - Montrose will be open from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

With Gratitude to Those Who Served

Every year, we observe Veterans Day to recognize those who have served our nation as part of our armed forces. We honor these individuals for their sacrifice and devotion, here at Legacy and across the country.

Featured here are a few of the many veterans who contribute to Legacy's mission:

Joseph Mayers, United States Army - "This day is a day to reflect on the current serving military members and the sacrifice their families make while a service member is away from home."

Melody Gray, United States Air Force - "As the daughter of a World War II Veteran, I felt so proud to serve my country. I joined the Air Force from 1983 and served overseas at RAF Bentwaters and Travis AFB in California as an Air Cargo Specialist until 1988. I achieved the rank of Sergeant and received the Meritorious Service Medal for Outstanding Noncombat Meritorious Service in 1987. I am a fierce advocate for Veteran's rights and protections and champion legislation and public support for veterans and their families."

Nelson Matute, Texas State Guard - "This day reminds me of the value of serving my community, the State of Texas and my country with purpose, dedication and selflessness, giving others the chance to be free."

Oliver Peralta, United States Army - "Veterans Day is important to me because it's a time to honor the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of those who've served in our armed forces. Their commitment to protecting our freedoms and way of life deserves our deepest respect and gratitude - not just today, butt every day."

All Legacy clinics and pharmacies will be closed on Labor Day, September 1, with the exception of Legacy Southwest Campus. Our Legacy Southwest Campus located at 6441 High Star 77074 will be available to address pediatric walk-ins from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm.

All locations will resume regular clinic hours on Tuesday, September 2.

🍼 August is National Breastfeeding Month and we’re celebrating YOU. The parents, families and caregivers who make nurturing choices every day.

From August 1–7, we joined the global celebration of World Breastfeeding Week with a special tabling event across 8 Legacy clinics. Families received educational materials, giveaways, and connected with our care teams to learn more about breastfeeding support and the new breastfeeding education classes offered throughout the month. 🎉

Meet Alejandra Zuniga, our Prenatal Navigation Manager, who’s helping families overcome barriers to breastfeeding with compassion and culturally responsive care.

Need personalized support? Our certified lactation consultant, Yanett Hodgson, is here for you, and offers one-on-one visits, telehealth, and walk-ins at our Southwest Clinic.

Breastfeeding is more than milk, it’s about bonding, healing, and building a healthier future. 💪

🎒📚 Back-to-School Success Across Texas!

Legacy Community Health had an incredible Back-to-School season, spreading smiles, supplies and stories across Houston, Beaumont and beyond!

At BakerRipley Community Schools, we gave away 150 backpacks and over 1,000 books, including 800 generously donated by Molly, Daileya and their amazing family. 💖 Thank you for helping us spark a love of reading!

Across six events in one weekend, our team, pharmacy staff and volunteers showed up strong, from PlazaAmericas, Alief ISD, SW Public Schools, Sisters of Charity, and the City of Houston Mayor’s Back-to-School Bash, to our Beaumont Festival, where we handed out 1,000+ backpacks and celebrated with families. 🎉

📦 In total, we stuffed and distributed 2,600 drawstring bags filled with school supplies, 1,600 shipped to sites from Alief to Baytown, and 1,000 more shared at community events. That’s impact in action!

Back-to-school season is here, and it's normal for kids to feel a little nervous about what's ahead. At Legacy, we're here for your child's whole health--body and mind.

In this special Summer of Stories video, Dr. Antoinette Wilson, a therapy director in Legacy's School-Based Behavioral Health, reads a book all about worry. It's a great way to start a conversation with your child about feelings, fears, and what to expect as the new school year begins.

Reading together can help kids feel heard, safe, and ready to take on new challenges.
