Birth Languages Birth Languages Method is the ONLY method that combines individual approach to labor, partner focus,

Birth Languages is a naturally-minded, comprehensive childbirth method with a modern perspective on preparation for birth and parenthood. We have identified four languages of birth: Movement, Touch, Intuition, and Vocalization. Women may draw on aspects of each language, however, a primary language is often used for coping throughout the duration of labor. The Birth Languages method helps women identify and make use of her unique birth language and prepares partners to provide individualized support throughout labor and birth. This method explores the ways pregnancy and birth speak to us, with a focus on evidenced-based information and empowered decision-making. It helps couples utilize the pregnancy and birth experience to build stronger bonds by training partners to be compassionate, knowledgeable birth companions. The Birth Languages method merges time-honored techniques for an undisturbed labor, new strategies to enable women to work with their laboring bodies, current knowledge of fetal positioning, and evidenced-based information regarding informed decision-making and medical interventions.

Inducing a mild form of labour in pregnant women booked in for caesarean sections could help them to begin breastfeeding, doctors believe. Women undergoing elective caesareans in five hospitals in...

Interesting new and extremely preliminary research about a protein that could predict the likelihood of a reduced nutrient supply to baby during pregnancy.

With a sample size of only 126 first time mothers -- more research will be needed to determine true causation.

A protein found in the blood of pregnant women could be used to develop tests to determine the health of their babies and aid decisions on early elective deliveries, according to an early study.
