More fun with our yoga blocks ⭐️

Navigate across the ‘ocean’ using only two foam block platforms while trying not to touch the ocean with your hands or feet. This activity works on motor planning, leg strengthening, balance, and coordination.

Teaching kids to protest (i.e. “no,” “stop,” “I don’t want that,” “all done”) is just as important as teaching them to request! ✋🏼🛑When kids can say no instead of showing frustration through sounds or behaviors, they feel heard, and that can actually reduce challenging behaviors over time. Every “no” is communication, and that’s a win 🗣️

Yoga blocks for balance ⭐️

This kiddo had to step onto the yoga block and then balance on one leg to knock down the next block until he got to the end of his “train track”

This is a great activity to improve overall balance, single leg stance, motor planning, attention to task and coordination.

1. Pumpkin Pull - make a weighted pumpkin, have them pull the rope until it gets to the top! Great for strengthening and motor planning!
2. Pumpkin Egg Hunt - use a hippity hop to get to each pumpkin egg - inside will be various activities for the kids to work on!
3. Halloween Bingo - work on laying on your belly while having some bingo fun!

Happy Halloween!

More Halloween fun with our spooky spiders🕷️

This kiddo first had to pull the spiders out of the web using tongs to work on grasping patterns and hand strength as well as bilateral coordination. He then had to balance the spiders on a spoon while walking across the balance beam. This obstacle course challenged both his fine motor and gross motor skills including motor planning and body awareness.

This friend challenged his strength, motor planning, and balance to roll the foam tube up the incline and over the edge 💪🏼

This friend is working hard to pick up spooky Halloween spiders and color sort them 🕷️

This activity addresses hand strengthening and grasp patterns with the tongs while also working on core and upper body strength. An added bonus is all the heavy work he is getting from weight bearing through his arms and hands 🎃
