Why Discipline?

It is growth paradigm
Here discipline is the flow
Discipline of what?
Impulses
Cravings
Froth making
Arbitrary unconscious moorings
Unnecessary servings of delight
To know when to eat and when not
To follow the circadian rhythm and the motion of the stars
Know the timings of Life
Beholden to no one and yet available to all.
To move forward into unknown territories
Knowing to walk in time is to keep arriving repeatedly to the beginning of time
Allowing freshness to keep renewing
And rest in accord with this flow.

Most importantly,
Not allowing the mud to settle back into mud ,

To not allow the stone to remain
uncarved and unsolicited for a robust adventure of aesthetics and form
But like a sculptor
Chiseling the craft of turning beauty from naught
Turning stones into a Pieta or a David
Recognizing that in plain sight transformation with discipline leans toward a higher order
Joining all senses and the soul gives it transcendence
To know this is all a gift

Not yours to own but to drink from
Belonging to no one and yet for all
The natural rest of life
The unity of Life,
Comes with great effort and discipline
After all, what else is the meaning of Life?

THE NOT KNOWING

Liberates hubris
Nothing to do or not to do.
Nothing missing
Allows for no ending
Lives the process

Flowing
Expansive
Untethered
Potent
Allows for living the questions in themselves
Subtle
Selfless
Ever present
Boundless
Completes the Whole
Resting ground of isness

Mysterious God enveloping knowing and not knowing, being and nothingness in one go.
