Our little rural pharmacies received some national recognition on a project we have been working on. So exciting! Thank you to everyone that helped, this will have a big impact for other pharmacies and patients.

As contraceptive care services remain fragmented across many US states, pharmacists are seemingly rising as key touch points for women’s health management and various types of reproductive care.

Stanford’s Wolves Den Pharmacy is making birth control easier to access for local women by joining a groundbreaking clinical trial offering no-cost, pharmacist-led contraceptive services. The initiative is a partnership with healthcare technology company, OvaryIt, LLC, and is funded by a grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH).Participants can expect:
• Pharmacist consultation at no cost.
• Birth control prescription with refills for up to one year, if medically eligible
• Up to $50 in gift cards for completing a survey after the consultation and 90-days later
Services will be available at no cost to eligible participants by appointment or walk-in starting July 14th at Wolves Den Pharmacy, located at 99 Central Avenue in Stanford.
