Calling all high school students interested in Artificial Intelligence in Medicine and Health!

The Stanford Center for Artificial Intelligence in Medicine and Imaging is currently accepting applications for our 2-week virtual summer research Internship & AI bootcamp programs. Both programs are fantastic learning opportunities and free of charge.

🚀 Summer Research Internship: Dive into AI's impact on healthcare through expert-led sessions, a hands-on project, & mentorship from Stanford researchers. Open to ambitious high school students entering 9th-12th grade in Fall 2024 looking to apply their advanced technical/coding skills to real-world clinical problems.

📚 Summer Health AI Bootcamp: Designed for high school learners of all technical levels, the bootcamp offers a curated curriculum that covers the fundamentals of machine learning in medicine and healthcare. Discover the intersections through a series of virtual lectures and dynamic discussions led by Stanford’s leading health AI experts.

Meet the Team: AIMI Visiting Scholar Helen Frazer is a radiologist and Clinical Director of St Vincent’s BreastScreen and BreastScreen Victoria. Dr. Frazer has over 20 years of clinical experience alongside research focused on the use of deep learning AI for breast cancer detection; ethical, legal, and social implications of AI in healthcare; user experience and workflow studies in cancer screening; and health workforce preparation for AI tools. She leads the BRAIx AI research program that was awarded a Medical Research Future Fund grant to translate promising AI mammography image reading results into breast cancer screening

Of her many accomplishments, Dr. Frazer was recently awarded the prestigious Women in AI 2022 Innovator of the Year and AI in Health awards for Australia - New Zealand.
