Weekend Shenanigans: With the expectation of SNOW or ICE or BOTH we made preparations to keep things moving right along. Staff piled in with their air mattresses and blankets while the management team made space for our neighbors from The Parke Independent Living Senior Apartments
Sunday we awoke to a blanket of white. Rev. Tim was able to slide on down the road just in time for our Sunday worship. We haven’t had that many people show up in awhile. We were truly blessed and thankful for his presence, the power remaining steady, the heat to keep us comfortable and staff to help with all the things. We may or may not have enjoyed a little of the extra time we had with our coworkers. We sorted through the donations of fabric we’ve received THANK YOU! We “borrowed “ the beauty shop to finally get rid of all that dry shampoo. We took advantage of the cold to see if we could sled down the hill. We played rounds of card games, watched movies on the big screen, and tried our best to rest for the next day. Luckily it wasn’t as bad as it could have been. Joy came in the morning, along with the sunshine to melt away the white. Things are moving back to normal today, including saying goodbye to our guests. We promised them an adventure…and we delivered!
