Ted Phillip Landers, age 73, of Center Square, Indiana, entered this life on January 3, 1953, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was the son of the late Joseph F. Landers and the late Ida Mae Huxel Landers. He was a 1971 graduate of Western Hills High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. Ted was united in marriage on June 16, 1990, to Nancy Lee Chester at the East State Baptist Church in Dayton, Kentucky. Ted and Nancy shared 30 years of marriage together until her death on June 7, 2020. Ted was a former plastic molder for Polycraft Products in Greendale, Indiana, retiring in 2020 after 30 years of service. For the last several years, Ted drove for the Amish in Switzerland County, where he has resided since 2010. Ted loved electronics and trains and was a member of the Whitewater Valley Railroad in Connersville, Indiana. Ted passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Switzerland County, Indiana. In addition to his parents and wife, Ted is preceded in death by his step-son, Daniel Haas; two brothers, Michael Landers and William "Corky" Landers; and one sister-in-law, Barbara Landers. He is survived by two step-daughters, Amy Haas of Dayton, Kentucky, and Elisabeth Dickman (Alan) Cook of Stanton, Kentucky; three brothers: Jim (Pat) Landers of Cincinnati, Ohio, John "Jack" Landers of Sunman, Indiana, and Tom (Kay) Landers of Cincinnati, Ohio; one sister, Frances "Fran" Landers of Dayton, Ohio; one sister-in-law, Mary Lynn Landers of Cheviot, Ohio; fourteen step-grandchildren: Chris Haas, Garrick (Gabbie) Haas, Tyler Haas, Matt Haas, Jordan Haas, Brendan Haas, Daniel Luke Haas, Daniel (Charisma Smith) Haas, Danielle Haas, Baily (Maddie Wanstrath) Haas, Jewel Haas, Sophie Cook, Breanne Cook, and Dakota Cook; four step-great-grandchildren: Hope Haas, Eathen Haas, Dakota Haas, and Marshals Haas; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M., Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, Kentucky. Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Raymond Tipton will be held immediately following visitation at 3:00 P.M., at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Stonegate Cemetery, 27 Stonegate Drive, Stanton, Kentucky, with Alan Cook, Jim Landers, John "Jack" Landers, Tom Landers, Terry Francis, Danny Elkins, and Thomas Cook serving as active pallbearers. Memorial contributions may be made to the Whitewater Valley Railroad. Arrangements have been entrusted to Haskell and Morrison Funeral Home of Vevay, Indiana, and Hearne Funeral Home of Stanton, Kentucky.

Linda Fay Helton, age 83, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born on Monday, November 30, 1942, in La Grange, Kentucky. Linda worked at Natural Bridge State Park, Gladie Visitor Center, and C.M.S. through the years. She enjoyed demonstrating weaving techniques at the Gladie Center. Linda was a dedicated worker who deeply loved her family and was known for her sweet and caring nature. Her faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ, was a central part of her life, and she embraced it wholeheartedly. Linda cherished raising her family and enjoyed spending quality time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a passion for sewing and vegetable gardening, finding joy in getting her hands into the dirt. A true people person, Linda was loved by all who knew her. She also adored her dog, Patches, who sadly passed away a couple of months ago. Linda attended Hatchers Creek Church of God, where she loved to testify and give praise to God. Linda is preceded in death by her mother, Ina Dehart; her husband, Alton Helton; one son, Alan Helton; her daughter, Sandra Sue Helton; and her half-sister, Brenda Snowden. She is survived by two sons: Rick Helton and Timothy (Trish) Helton both of Stanton; one daughter-in-law, Judy Bowling; four grandchildren: Travis (Lynn) Helton, Candance Helton, Timothy (Kayla) Helton, Jr., and Christopher (Christa) Helton; one step-grandchild, Autumn Wise; five great-grandchildren: Kaylee Helton, Easton Helton, Presley Helton, Kennedy Helton, and Olivia Helton; and four step-great-grandchildren: Rylin Rowland, Zayden Wise, Ashtyn Wise, and Maxtyn Wise. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. on Friday, May 1, 2026, at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, Kentucky. Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Lovell Stevens will be held at the funeral home at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 2, 2026. Burial will be held at Helton Cemetery in Stanton, with Rick Helton, Timothy Helton, Travis Helton, Candance Helton, Timothy Helton, Jr., and Christopher Helton serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Danny Allen, Stephanie Clemons, Terry McClure, Janice Swango, Jim and Jean Myers, Earlene Helton, and Ava Barnett. Forest Delno Martin, age 92, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026, at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky. He was born on Tuesday, February 20, 1934, in Knowlton, Kentucky, to the late Lawrence "Hoppy" Martin and the late Annie Brandenburg Martin. Forest served in the United States Army and worked for Chrysler Motor Company as a mechanic technician. He had a deep passion for automotive craftsmanship, spending countless hours tinkering with cars and reveling in the thrill of drag racing. In the early 1960's, Forest proudly managed the bustling Big Oaks Gas Station, a central hub for locals and travelers alike. Each September, he eagerly awaited his favorite time of year—an extravagant pig roast at his home, where friends and colleagues from his motocross adventures gathered to celebrate good food and camaraderie. Forest's love for the outdoors extended beyond racing, as he cherished the moments spent hunting on his expansive property in northern Michigan. He embodied the spirit of a true man’s man—confident, strong, and deeply rooted in his passions. Forest's zest for life was infectious; he was always ready with a smile and a kind word. He loved to give popcorn away as gifts to his friends and was affectionately known as "the popcorn guy". Above all, Forest held an unwavering love for his wife, a bond that shone brightly in every aspect of his life. In addition to his parents, Forest is preceded in death by his wife, Alma Raye Martin; one brother, Weeden Martin; three sisters, Eloise Ison, Chrystal Knox, and Dorothy Tipton. He is survived by two sons, Steve (Brian) Martin of Frenchburg, and Bobby Lynn Fouch of Madison Heights, Michigan; one daughter, Katie Miller; one sister, Brenda Hood of Clay City; ten grandchildren: Ellie May Miller, Forrest Miller, Silas Miller, Nathan Miller, Cameron Martin, Preston Martin, Racheal Martin, Caiden Martin, Nicholas Fouch, and Christopher Fouch; and one great-grandchild, George Forest Martin. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. on Friday, April 3, 2026, at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, Kentucky. Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Mary Lou Creech, age 61, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at her home on Westview Drive in Stanton, Kentucky. She was born on Wednesday, December 16, 1964, in Campton, Kentucky, to the late Robert Oscar Holder and the late Julia Ellen Burns Holder. Mary, in her youth, loved to sunbathe and, over the years, enjoyed vegetable gardening and canning her crops in preparation for winter. She enjoyed crafts, such as color art and flower arranging. Mary’s greatest joy was the love for her family. She loved raising her children and being in their presence. She enjoyed cooking and was excellent at it, fixing great meals for her family. Mary Lou was a very nice person, easy to get along with, and always had the goal of making everyone feel comfortable. In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by two brothers, Mark Holder and Garrett Wayne Holder, and two sisters, Cathy Lynn Coldwell and Elsie Marie Cockerham. She is survived by her lifelong companion, Shelby Banks; one daughter, Kiesha Holder of Stanton; one son, Paul Weaver of Wi******er; two special daughters, Tosha Tolson and Shakayla Deaton; four special sons: Zachary Deaton, Shawn Donathan, Jacob Smallwood, and Shelby Banks; one brother, Alton Elvis Banks of Warsaw; one sister, Helen Holder of Campton; special cousin and friend Lilly Clifford; and six grandchildren: Bryson Banks, Taylen Blythe, Kiersten Tolson, Alayah Tyra, Atticus Deaton and Wyomi Deaton. Elizabeth Ann Collinsworth, age 80, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Clark Regional Medical Center in Wi******er, Kentucky. She was born on Wednesday, September 5, 1945, in Henderson, Kentucky, to the late Harold Edward Windhaus and the late Frances Ann Siewert Windhaus. Ann graduated from Holy Name Catholic School. In 1985, she was a founding member of Our Lady of the Mountains Catholic Church, playing a key role in the first Mass services held in Powell County. Ann served as a Girl Scout troop leader and enjoyed keeping in touch with her girls through the years. Alongside her husband, she was a successful entrepreneur, operating several businesses, including Steve's Bit Service, Crooked Letter Print Shop, Ann's Office Supply, BASCO, Iron Mule Bit Company, and Lockworth Mining Company. An avid traveler, Ann visited every state in the U.S., including Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. She was a big NASCAR fan, particularly of Dale Earnhardt, and enjoyed playing trivia games. Ann's favorite musicians were Conway Twitty and Alan Jackson. She loved tending to both her flower and vegetable gardens and cherished the time spent with her family and siblings during traditional Burgoo family gatherings. Ann was deeply involved in her children's and grandchildren's sporting events, always there to support them. Known for her wit and outgoing personality, she was a great storyteller and made friends easily. Ann was very generous and was known for making the best spaghetti. Her best friend was her dog, Molly. In addition to her parents, Ann is preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Mitchell Collinsworth; one daughter, Rebecca Ann Elam; and one great-grandchild, Charlotte Ruby Johnson. She is survived by two daughters, Angela (Steve) Rogers of Stanton, and Stephanie Collinsworth Diaj of Lexington; two brothers, Rickie (Toni) Windhaus of Henderson, and Eddie Windhaus of Corydon; three sisters: Sue Hagan of Corydon, Pam Mullins of Henderson, and Cookie Carruthers of Corydon; six grandchildren: Anthia Nicole Elam of Clay City, Harlan Mitchell (Kim) Elam of Richmond, Stevie Elizabeth (Colten) King of Georgetown, Keeley Klae (Justin) Johnson of Verona, Italy, Liam Alexander (Savannah Roberts) Diaj of Newburg, Indiana, and Luke Stephen (Shay Olkoski) Diaj of Lexington; seven great- grandchildren: Eli Dakota King, Natalie Chase King, Rylie Elizabeth King, Jade Elizabeth Kennon, Vivian Harper Johnson, Clayton Jack Johnson, and Romy Caroline Johnson. Glenna Ruth Hall, age 82, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at her home in Stanton, Kentucky. She was born on Saturday, March 27, 1943, in Gessling, Kentucky, to the late Lorenzo Jack Pence and the late Thelma Burton Pence. Ruth was a proud graduate of Carter City School, class of 1961. She was a dedicated member of the Stanton Baptist Church, where, over the years, she passionately taught Sunday School Classes for children ranging from Kindergarten through 5th grade, and she enjoyed singing in the choir. In recent years, Ruth had found her spiritual home at Clay City First Church of God, where her warm presence continued to shine. She possessed an immense love of music, showcasing her talents as a gifted guitarist. In addition to her musical pursuits, Ruth played a vital role in her husband Donald Ray's photography business, offering invaluable support while also demonstrating her own impressive skills as a photographer. For 21 years, she was a devoted employee of the United States Postal Service, known for her sweet disposition and strong work ethic. Above all, Ruth was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was fiercely committed to her family, often putting their needs above her own and attending every event that involved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ruth's playful spirit was infectious, as she loved to play hide-and-seek, creating delightful memories that would last a lifetime. She had a wonderful sense of humor, always ready to share a laugh. Ruth cherished curling up with a good mystery novel, losing herself in captivating stories. Her legacy of love and joy continues to resonate with all who knew her. In addition to her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ray Hall; one daughter, Lori Jo Hall; two brothers, Gene Pence and Jackie Arnold Pence; three sisters-in-law: Judy Pence, Louise Pence, and Juanita Hall Kerr; one very special cousin, Jack Cales; two grandchildren, Ryan McCoy and Gary Lee "Chip" Hensley; and one nephew, Scotty Pence. She is survived by one daughter, Robin LeAnne (Randy) McCoy of Stanton; one step-daughter, Chuckie (Gary) Hensley of Georgetown; five brothers: Larry Pence of West College Corner, Indiana, David (Susan) Pence of Ashland, Ronnie (Susie) Pence of Grayson, Doug (Maria) Pence of Ashland, and Johnny (Lisa) Pence of Florence; five grandchildren: Stevie Jo (Cadence) Randall, Kinley Nicole (Austin) Miller, Robert Jake McCoy, Sarah Hensley, and Joe Hensley; and five great-grandchildren: Bryson Randall, Brylee Mason, Raymond Lee Young, Bella Hensley, and Elijah Hensley.
