Medical despite the fact that we were near the edge of the woods and didn't see many spectators Saturday Adelbert L. Ritchey and our chaplain stayed with the wounded while being over run by the confederates and were expecting to be captured and later paroled, but they ignored us. Sunday 10th. This weekend 10th medical participated in a very historical medical scenario where we set up as a dressing station we dressed the wounds with bandages and depending on severity either send them back to the fighting or further behind the lines for surgery at a field Hospital. We were set up at the end of the battlefield close to the spectators but not in the way of the action, at the end of the battle our dressing station was over run and one of our surgeons was captured but was quickly released after the battle 10th. Medicals surgeons and nurses helped a medical unit from Wisconsin perform surgeries. See everyone at lombard in a couple of weeks
