Today is extra special… our therapy dog Milo turns 12 weeks old, which means he has officially spent half his life doing what he does best —
greeting clients at the door, bringing comfort into our sessions, and spreading joy throughout our Starkville and Columbus offices. 🐾💛

We are so grateful for the calm, connection, and tiny-tail-wagging happiness he brings to our team and community each day.

Another great day in tupelo! 🌟

Today, Monarch Counseling & Wellness co-owners and therapists, Janae Robinson, MS, LPC-S, and Amanda Coleman, LPC-S, presented their program “From Passion to Practice: Building a Purpose-Driven Group Counseling Practice” at the Mississippi Counseling Association conference in Tupelo, MS.

Together, they shared their journey of transforming two solo practices into a thriving, trauma- and grief-informed group practice—centered on compassion, collaboration, and purpose. The session explored how aligning personal passion with community needs can create meaningful impact, while offering practical guidance for clinicians considering the leap into group practice ownership.

Janae and Amanda spoke on lessons learned, building a values-driven team, and creating a model that extends care beyond traditional therapy—empowering others to pursue their own purpose-driven visions in the field.

We’re incredibly proud of our founders for continuing to inspire and lead within Mississippi’s counseling community! 💛

Awesome news from tupelo! 🎉

This morning, our co-owner and therapist Janae Robinson, MS, LPC-S presented “From Problem to Protector: A Parts-Based Approach to Understanding and Healing Eating Disorders” at the Mississippi Counseling Association conference in Tupelo, MS.
Huge thanks to Amanda Coleman—our co-owner—for jumping in to help with the live demonstration portion of the training. 🙌

Janae shared practical, compassionate tools for reframing ED symptoms as protective parts, mapping those parts with clients, and integrating IFS with EMDR/CPT/ERP to support sustainable healing. We’re proud to keep championing trauma- and grief-informed care across Mississippi.

We’re thrilled to welcome Robert Chilton, MSW, LCSW to Monarch Counseling & Wellness!

Robert is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and transitions. His background includes work in medical and hospice care, inpatient and outpatient behavioral health, veteran services, and crisis response, allowing him to bring deep empathy and expertise to his sessions.

🦋 Robert provides therapy for ages 16+ in our Starkville and Columbus offices, as well as through telehealth.
🗓️ Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 9 AM – 5 PM

He is passionate about supporting clients with:
