As both a psychologist and a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I want to speak honestly about what many of us are feeling right now.

The current administration’s actions and rhetoric have done real harm—not just politically, but emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually. It’s painful to see our rights, safety, and dignity treated as something up for debate. The fear and grief are real. The anxiety is real. The anger is real.

I feel it too.

And yet, in the midst of this, I hold on to something just as real: our resilience, our love for each other, our capacity to show up in community—even when it’s hard.

We are not powerless. We are not alone. Please take care of yourselves and each other. Rest when you need to. Speak out when you can. We all have a role in building something better—and no matter how dark things feel, that work is still worth doing.

I'm standing with you.

Stay safe. Stay soft when you can. Stay strong when you must.
