Such an exciting night for Wynwood House and our community partners!

A huge congratulations to Rachel from The Arc of Centre County for receiving a Volunteer Award last evening! Rachel brings so much joy to our residents at Wynwood House Nittany Valley, especially during her Bingo sessions that everyone looks forward to each week.

We’re also incredibly proud to share that Wynwood House Nittany Valley was named Volunteer Site of the Year! 🎉
What an honor to be recognized for the welcoming, engaged, and supportive environment our residents and staff create together.

Over the last week, she showed up for all FIVE of our Wynwood Thanksgiving meals — not just as a guest, but as an extra set of hands and a bright, uplifting presence. She helped serve meals, share smiles, and make every single event feel even more special.

Our family Thanksgiving meals at all 5 locations were an absolute hit!
Notables:
Salem Hill tripled their headcount from last year! They also celebrated a birthday.
Nittany Valleys organizational skills were top tier!
Penns Valleys families won for most eager and helpful to jump in. It was amazing how many family members helped make the event run smoothly. The staff all worked together seamlessly as well!
State college had the biggest spread and family turnout!
Greenhills entire meal was from scratch and absolutely delicious! They dessert table was a fan Favorite.
We can't wait to do this again next year!

Big things are happening at Wynwood House – Salem Hill! 🛠️

Remodeling is officially underway, and we are thrilled to kick things off with gorgeous new flooring in our main dining space. It’s amazing what a fresh foundation can do, the whole place already feels brighter, warmer, and even more welcoming.

Salem Hill has always been our smallest location, but anyone who walks through the doors knows it has the biggest heart. The residents, families, and staff here are like one big extended family, and every update we make is done with them in mind.

Even with the upgrades, Salem Hill continues to be one of our most affordable communities, offering families quality care without the heavy price tag.

We currently have openings for both men and women who are looking for a comfortable, family-oriented personal care home where they can truly feel at home.

This afternoon we kicked off our first of five Family Thanksgiving Dinners across the Wynwood communities and wow, what a beautiful start!

We were blown away by the turnout… three times the number of families who joined us last year filled our dining room with love, laughter, and gratitude. We opened the meal in prayer, shared a birthday celebration, and enjoyed a time surrounded by the people who make Wynwood House Salem Hill feel like home.

A special shoutout to Kate, our amazing building nurse, whose heart and dedication have brought so many families together. This may be our smallest community, but goodness, it has the biggest heart.

Next up: Wynwood House Greenhills Village in Park Forest tomorrow!
We can’t wait to continue this week of family, connection, and thankfulness.
