Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) affects the part of your eye responsible for sharp, central vision — the vision you use to read, drive, and recognize faces.
The challenge? AMD often develops without noticeable symptoms in its early stages.
That’s why routine eye exams matter — not just when vision feels “off,” but before changes begin. A comprehensive eye exam can detect early signs and help protect your long-term vision.
If it’s been a while since your last eye exam, now is a good time to schedule one.

Our Optometrists

Dr. Anderson graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1989 with a Doctor of Optometry Degree and a Master's Degree in Vision Rehabilitation. After practicing ten years in State College he opened his professional practice, Advanced Eye Care Services, in 1999. When he is not working at the office, Dr. Anderson enjoys going hiking and bicycling with his wife Julie, and playing with his two cats, Oliver and Jeffrey.

Dr. Temnykh joined our office in 2011. She studied Optometry at The Ohio State University from 1998-2002. Over a span of 10 years, she practiced in Ohio, New York, and Virginia. For the last 7 years, she has been with us in Pennsylvania. When she is not at the office, she enjoys playing her guitar and harmonica, learning Russian with her husband Vanya, racing mountain bikes, adopting retired racehorses, and spending time with her 18 year old pup, Petey, and 3 horses, Lena, Bert, and Riddles.
