I truly believe that our bodies were made for movement, and that movement has healing power. I love to integrate my knowledge of group fitness, yoga and personal training to provide a one of a kind fitness experience. Bodies come in all shapes and sizes and with different abilities and movement should be personalized to those things. If I am not teaching or working with clients or chasing around my 2 kids, you can find me on a beach, on a paddle board, or getting lost on a hiking trail. Credentials:

Find me tomorrow leading beginner yoga for the this event!

Jana Marie Foundation will be hosting our annual parent-daughter retreat, Side By Side, at Mount Nittany Middle School on Saturday, February 7, from 9 am to 1 pm.

This event is free and open to middle school girls (grades 6-8) and their parent/caregiver. Through engaging activities and a variety of communication tools, participants will have the opportunity to enhance their relationship, create long-lasting memories, and find a deeper understanding of one another.

This year's event will feature the following breakout sessions:

Every week in my teen class, we kick things off with an ice breaker question, sometimes silly, sometimes just for fun, and sometimes deep enough to really make them think. I’m blown away by their answers, and I’ve realized many of them haven’t been asked these kinds of questions before.

When we move beyond “How was your day?” it opens the door for real conversation and connection, so I’ve started sharing our weekly questions with parents too. Feel free to share your teen’s (or your own!) answers in the comments.

LAST CALL!
Series starts tomorrow, and we are holding space for your middle schooler.

FUNctional Fitness for Tween/Teen girls has become so much more than a class where we learn to lift weights and move our bodies in fun and joyful ways. On the regular these girls literally lift each other up. There is something so powerful about girls supporting girls and a gym space and witnessing the carryover to all the corners of life.

We closed out 2025 at the studio with a week of ‘Ugly’ Holiday sweaters, and boy did these ladies take assignment seriously. Not only did they bring the style, but they brought the laughs, and high energy and the vibes.

2025 was an amazing year with these gals, and I know 2026 will bring so much more fun, and adventures in weight lifting.

We have a few openings in the upcoming series for girls ages 11-14. Classes meet Thursdays, 5:30pm starting January 15th at Wellness in Motion. All experience levels welcomed.

If you would have told me back in my YTT days, that I would be leading weekly classes for tween and teen girls, I would have laughed in your face. No really, I would have 🤣. This was never my intended audience.

I do, however, have a heart for working with beginners. Especially those coming to the mat/gym with the intention of building lifelong habits for health. So naturally, if you want to foster a lifelong habit, you should start early right?!

I love this space we’ve created at Wellness in Motion. These girls may humble me every single day, but they are real with their feelings, their insecurities, their need for connection, and their desire to be accepted in a way that can only be shared with youth. To be able to offer a safe space for all of that and more has been a true blessing. I am forever grateful for this group, this space, and their youthful perspective on life.
