Instructor Spotlight
Makenna Kane
Makenna has been filling in here and there in the schedule for a few months now, and we are excited to announce she is joining the Fam with a class of her own.
You can join her on Thursdays, at 7p for Intermediate Evening Flow.
Makenna first discovered yoga as a way to find balance between movement, mindfulness, and meaning. What began as a curiosity quickly became a lifelong practice, one that grounds her through every season of growth. After completing her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training with Yoga East+West in Costa Rica, Makenna deepened her understanding of both the physical and philosophical aspects of yoga, blending traditional Hatha principles with the fluidity of Vinyasa.
Her classes weave mindful sequencing with intentional breathwork, encouraging students to move with awareness, strength, and compassion. Drawing from her background in kinesiology and human connection, Makenna’s teaching emphasizes alignment, embodiment, and presence, guiding students not just through poses, but toward a deeper understanding of themselves.
Through her journey, yoga has become more than movement; it’s a practice of returning home, to the body, the breath, and the moment.
