You might be praised for being helpful, hardworking, or strong. However, underneath you might be carrying trauma responses that were once about survival, not choice.
What looks “normal” on the outside (people-pleasing, perfectionism, and over-working) might be a nervous system stuck in survival mode.
The good news? These patterns can be unlearned with compassion, care, and support. Healing isn’t about blaming yourself for how you coped, it’s about giving yourself permission to grow beyond it.
