What to Expect During Your Lip Filler Appointment with Dr. Stilwell 💉✨

Your experience starts with one of our medical assistants, who will take your before photos and walk you through the prep process. Then, a topical numbing cream is applied to keep you as comfortable as possible—this typically takes about 20–30 minutes to fully set.

Once you’re numb, Dr. Stilwell begins the treatment, carefully injecting filler to enhance your natural lip shape. The goal isn’t to overdo it—it’s to create soft, balanced, and hydrated-looking lips that complement your features.

So inspired yesterday at Northwell Staten Island University Hospital North for the dedication of the Louis and Richard Nicotra Institute for Heart Health♥️

Louis and Richard are not only dear friends, but pillars of generosity and vision in our community. To see them give so meaningfully — and on their 46th wedding anniversary — was truly moving.

Standing in front of their heart-shaped sculpture that reads “Good Health is Everything,” I was reminded just how true those words are. And how beautiful it is when health, love, and giving come together in one place.
