Coming out of the darkest time of the year can feel heavier than people expect.

The days are slowly getting lighter,
but everything still feels like hard work.

The mud.
The cold mornings.
The endless to-do lists.
The spinning plates that don’t seem to stop.

When you care for horses, there’s no pause button.

They still need feeding.
Checking.
Blankets changing.
Water breaking ice.
Holding routines steady when your own energy feels thin.

And sometimes the tiredness isn’t just physical.

It’s the weight of getting through winter.
Of holding responsibility quietly.
Of showing up every day even when motivation has dipped.

But this kind of tired is different.

It’s not giving up tired.
It’s carrying on tired.

It’s the tiredness of commitment.
Of love.
Of choosing to care, even when it would be easier not to.

The horses feel it too.

They don’t rush us into spring.

They remind us that transitions take time.

🌿🕯 Simple Imbolc Ritual: Tending the Inner Flame 🕯🌿

Imbolc is a beautiful time for gentle ritual—focused on cleansing, intention, and warming the seeds of what’s to come.

You’ll need:
• A white or cream candle
• A small bowl of water or salt
• One crystal or small object to represent your intention
• Optional: rosemary, basil, lavender, or bay leaf

Ritual Steps:
1️⃣ Begin by tidying your space—Imbolc honors clearing out the old to welcome the new.
2️⃣ Light your candle and take several slow, grounding breaths.
3️⃣ Dip your fingers into the water or salt and touch your hands or forehead, saying:
“I release what no longer serves me and make space for new beginnings.”
4️⃣ Hold your intention object and speak (or silently set) what you wish to nurture in the coming months—peace, clarity, creativity, healing, abundance.
5️⃣ Visualize these intentions as tiny seeds being warmed by the candle flame.
6️⃣ Close by thanking the season, the returning light, and yourself.

✨ Optional: Write your intention on a bay leaf and keep it on your altar until spring, or safely burn it as an offering.
