There are very few spine surgeons in the nation advancing as rapidly as Dr. Alex Sielatycki. When it comes to neck and back pain, he’s transforming patients’ lives through innovative techniques and first-of-their-kind prosthetics.

His approach? Avoid spinal fusion whenever possible by using implants designed to keep the neck and spine moving naturally.

As recently featured in Steamboat Pilot & Today, Dr. Sielatycki is a leading user of Centinel Spine’s Prodisc portfolio, a comprehensive, FDA-approved total disc replacement (TDR) system, featuring four distinct cervical devices (prodisc C, C SK, C Vivo, C Nova) and lumbar options (prodisc L) designed to match patient anatomy and preserve motion.

In late 2024, Dr. Sielatycki became the first surgeon in the United States to successfully implant the prodisc® C Nova device on a patient from Summit County. This innovative implant is designed to maintain the spine’s natural range of motion using a clinically proven ball-and-socket concept, supporting a more active, mobile recovery.

We captured this milestone moment right here in Steamboat Springs. Here’s the story...

Meet Dr. Tyson Sloan!

Board-certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Dr. Sloan specializes in non-operative spine care… from imaging interpretation and EMGs to spinal injections and personalized rehab plans.

His philosophy? Start with conservative treatments, take time to educate patients, and help them feel confident in their care every step of the way.

He joined our team in 2023 after six years in practice, bringing a patient-first approach focused on relieving pain and restoring function. When he’s not in clinic, you’ll find him outdoors hiking, fishing, or camping with his wife and kids. 🌲🎣

Bonus: Dr. Sloan is fluent in Spanish and loves connecting with patients from all backgrounds.

Nearly a decade ago, Dr. Adam Wilson joined the U.S. Snowboardcross Team during a training camp in Austria, and he’s been part of the team ever since. This year, that journey brings him to Milan, Italy for two weeks at the 2026 Olympic Games!

As the team’s sports medicine physician, Dr. Wilson is on site to quickly identify and attend to any injuries, providing immediate care and medical guidance so athletes can stay focused on competing at the highest level. From traveling internationally with the team to being just a phone call away, his dedication goes far beyond race day.

We’re proud to cheer him on as he supports Team USA and represents SOSI on the world stage. 🇺🇸🏂

Two key factors go into proper DIN settings:

1️⃣ Skier’s Weight
Your weight directly impacts how much force is needed for your binding to release. Heavier skiers generally require higher DIN settings, while lighter skiers need lower settings to ensure safe release.

2️⃣ Skier’s Ability
Beginner and intermediate skiers typically use lower DINs for easier release during falls. Advanced and aggressive skiers may need higher settings to prevent unwanted release at speed or on hard landings.

⚠️ Always have your bindings set or checked by a certified ski tech. This is a general guide — not a replacement for a professional adjustment.

Ski smart. Ski safe.... and if you DO get hurt out there, SOSI can help right away.

Did you know? If you get injured on the mountain, you don’t have to go to urgent care first. Call any of our three locations — Steamboat, Fraser, or Craig — and be seen right away to start your healing journey. Save time and money by seeing SOSI first!

We are SO excited to be partnering with US Ski Team member, .michel!

When he was 13 he tore his ACL and was taken on by Dr. Adam Wilson. The SOSI staff helped him get back on snow quickly, and now he is competing on the World Cup tour and will hopefully have a spot on the 2026 Oympic Team!! 🤞🇺🇸

We couldn’t be more proud of you, Asher! Keep it up.
