I was the midwife for her three babies. I love their family so much! They came to my home today and brought me an espresso machine and taught me how to use it. The mom made me this espresso with her first ever heart!

I love being a midwife; being a part of your family and weaving safety and love and trust.

The 2025 Cochrane review on immediate and early skin-to-skin contact after birth highlights that further randomized controlled trials comparing skin-to-skin contact with ‘usual care’ are no longer ethical.

The findings show there is now enough evidence to make immediate skin-to-skin contact after birth the global standard of care, and as WHO already recommends skin-to-skin the standard of care, the authors argue that randomizing the separation of mother and newborn may no longer be justifiable.

Come get NEW and GENTLY USED items while supplies lasts! Bring your own bag, tote, or backpack to fill with pregnancy, postpartum, baby items and more! There will also be a limited amount of larger items but you will be responsible for transportation of said items. Staff may limit quantities of items you may take, thanks for understanding! 😊

There will be a table with games set out for older children while you browse our selection of tables, resources, and organization booths. Please be aware you will be required to have small children supervised at all times. We appreciate your cooperation! 🥰

Calling all dads!

Fatherhood Skills Program: The Fatherhood Program of Routt County (FPRC) is hosting the Fatherhood Skills Program, a five week series to help fathers build and strengthen positive parenting attitudes and behaviors.

The class will take place each Wednesday from October 1-29 from 5:30-7:30 pm at Old Town Hot Springs in Steamboat Springs.

The class includes:
- Roundtable discussions about parenting
- Tips and tricks on how to develop a nurturing household environment
- $100 gift card will be given to every dad that completes the course
- Dinner is provided

We invite you to join us and meet other dads from the area. It’s a great opportunity to learn something new about yourself and your parenting skills.
