Graveside services for 59 year old Anthony M. “Tony” Daniel of Byrnes Mill, Missouri will be held Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Number Eight Cemetery in Cooter, Missouri with Rev. Matthew Collier officiating. Visitation will be held at Powell Funeral Home in Steele, Missouri beginning at 1:00 pm and continuing until time to leave for cemetery. Tony Daniel passed away on March 24, 2026 at his residence in Byrnes Mill.

Anthony Murrell “Tony” Daniel was born on March 24, 1967 in Memphis, Tennessee to Jimmy Murrell Daniel and Linda King Daniel. He passed away on March 24, 2026 in Byrnes Mill, Missouri at the age of 59.
He had been employed as a truck driver and in lawn care.
He was united in marriage to Judy Crawford Daniel on February 19, 1992 in Blytheville, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother: Timothy Daniel, and one sister: Diane Tindall.

Services for Ruth Ann Lawrence of Steele, Missouri will be held Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at 11:00 am at Powell Funeral Home in Steele with Rev. Clifford Britt officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am and continue until service time. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele.

Ruth Ann Lawrence was born on September 8, 1946 in Tuckerman, Arkansas to William Rogers and Maude Hartwick Rogers. She passed away on March 21, 2026 in Jonesboro, Arkansas at the age of 79.
She had been employed as a hairdresser. She had also worked as a secretary and had been employed at the office of the Mississippi County Clerk in Blytheville, Arkansas.
Ruth Ann had attended Tyler Baptist Church and had been a member of the Steele Chamber of Commerce. She enjoyed music, gardening and working in her yard, and was a wonderful cook. She always put others before herself, and did all she could for everyone. Being a mother and grandmother was what she loved most of all.
She was united in marriage to Robert F. “Bobby” Lawrence, who preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and:

Services for Glen Flood of Cave City, Arkansas, formerly of Steele, Missouri were held Monday, March 16, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Powell Funeral Home in Steele with Charles Clark officiating. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele.

Glen E. Flood was born on November 20, 1938 in Steele, Missouri to Clell Flood and Lavinia Overturf Flood. He passed away on March 10, 2026 in Cave City, Arkansas at the age of 87.
He was a member of the Steele First Assembly of God Church. Glen served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He was a farmer and had also been employed with the Missouri Department of Transportation before retirement.
He was united in marriage to Glenda Moss Flood in Denton, Missouri on April 21, 1960. She preceded him in death.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Alice Rollins.

Justin Ira Lucas, 35, of Piggott, Arkansas passed away March 9, 2026 at Piggott Community Hospital.

Justin was born on May 26, 1990 in Paragould, Arkansas to Ira Robert Lucas and Brenda Kay Whitehead Lucas. He passed away on March 9, 2026 in Piggott, Arkansas at the age of 35.
He loved being with his family and enjoyed talking to them daily. He also enjoyed camping, bonfires, fishing, hunting, listening to music, laughing and joking around, and playing his guitar. He will be deeply missed by his family and his multitude of friends.

Floy Sue McClendon, age 90, of Caruthersville, Missouri, passed away on March 9, 2026.

She was born on November 13, 1935 to William and Earlene Carr. She lived a long life centered around family and staying engaged with the world around her.

She was marred to Ray McClendon and was a devoted mother to Susan Ross. She was also a proud grandmother to John and Andy Ross, and a loving great grandmother to 3 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Sue enjoyed spending her time reading and following politics, and she loved staying informed about the world around her. She was known for her strong opinions and was never shy about speaking her mind, a quality that made her both memorable and admired by those who knew her. She will be remembered for her strong spirit, wisdom, and the love she shared with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Ross, and two grandchildren: John Ross (Tammy) and Andy Ross. Three great grandchildren: Lane Michael Ross (Madison), Peyton Alaine Ross and Shane Michael Mansfield (Holly) and two great-great grandchildren: Serenity Claire and Trinity Storm Mansfield.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 60 years, Ray McClendon; her sister, Lou Taylor, and her son-in-law, Baker Ross.

Though she is gone from this world, her voice, her wisdom, and the love she shared will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations or acts of kindness be made in her memory to Cooter Methodist Church or Caruthersville Humane Society.

Donnie Riley officiating. Nedra Little passed away on February 18, 2026 at Chateau Girardeau in Cape Girardeau.

Nedra Lanell Little, age 86, of Benton, Missouri, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026, at The Chateau in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Born on September 12, 1939, Nedra was the daughter of Clarence “Dutch” Barley and Nannie Kate Jones Barley, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lowell Keith Little Sr.; three sisters, Bobbie Lair, Christen Taylor, and Joyce Poley; and two brothers, Jackie Barley and Reginald Barley.
Nedra earned her Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Education from Southeast Missouri State and devoted her professional life to serving others. She retired from Sikeston Public Schools, where she faithfully served as a high school guidance counselor. Through her work, she impacted countless students, offering wisdom, encouragement, and steady support that shaped many young lives.
Above all, Nedra cherished her family. She is survived by her three children: Karen and John Malone of Du Quoin, Illinois; Keith Little Jr. of Plano, Texas; and Kriste and Barry Martin of Jackson, Missouri.
She was a proud Grandmother to Allison and Matt Loveland; Nick and Katie Malone; Jake and ReVay Schlitt; Ashton Schlitt; and Nathan and Danna Martin.
Great Grandchildren include Luke Loveland, Leo Loveland, Elliana Malone, Wesley Malone, Hayden Schlitt, Parker Schlitt, Daphne Schlitt, Landry Martin, Cam Martin, and Sutton Martin.
She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews as well as friends.
Nedra will be remembered for her vibrant spirit and love of education. Her life was marked by unwavering dedication to those she loved.
A graveside service will be held Friday, February 20, 2026. Family and friends are invited.

Sharon was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and great-aunt whose greatest joy in life was her family. She cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren, creating lasting memories through her love, laughter, and unwavering support. Her home was always a place of warmth, comfort, and welcome to all who entered.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charlie Sutton; her parents, Norma and Tom Davenport; and her brother, John Villegas.

She is survived by her sister, Julie Crouch (Shane); her children, Joe Grissom, April Grissom, Anthony Patton (Maggie), and Jeremy Patton (Jessica); her stepchildren, Holly Sutton (Tamie), Kimberly Pleasant (Jeff), Wendy Mcgarity (Anthony), and Amy Higgins; her niece, Shelby Sanford; her nephew, Devon Barger (Ashlie); her great-nephew, Jaxon; her great-nieces, Layla, Maci, Sloane, and Landry; her cherished grandchildren: Jada, Logan, Jerron, Karter, Callie, Jazmine, Janessa, Caydan, Bentley, Brantley, Natalya, Dallas, Mylee, Breanna, Miah, Elijah, and Aliyah; and her beloved great grandchildren: Junior, Joseph and Juliette.

Pastor Ralph Amerson of Steele, Missouri, was born on January 31, 1958 in Meridian, Mississippi, to Willie Amerson and Mary Grace. He was preceded in death by his parents; Willie Amerson and Mary Grace; his brothers, Rufus Amerson and Tom Amerson and Willie Joe Amerson; his sister, Mary Jule; and his grandson, Tavarous Lockett. From a young age, Ralph worked at Carter Farms for Jessie Carter, where his dedication and loyalty were evident to all who knew him. He remained there faithfully until his retirement. Ralph was soft-spoken, kind, and gentle in spirit. His calm presence and steady faith left a lasting impact on everyone he encountered. He loved his church family dearly and served faithfully with compassion and quiet strength. He cherished his Sunday rides with his beloved wife and loved his children and grandchildren deeply, always leading with patience, kindness, and a gentle heart. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 36 years, Daisy Amerson; four sisters: Dorothy Lovelady, Annie (Larry) Harris, Diane Lovingston, Sylvia Henry Wallington; three brothers: Larry Amerson, Bodie Amerson, Leon Amerson; three biological children: Jayenice K Amerson, Ralph Dell Amerson, Kendrix Varnell Amerson; nine stepchildren: Wren Davis, Aukii Davis, Sharon Brodie, Lakesha Phillips Starks, Johnny Phillips, Yolanda Phillips, Debbie Phillips, Jason Phillips; six adopted children: Janice, Latarsha, Tanesha, April, Micheal, and Mykala Amerson; along with a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, church family, and friends.
