Their cones can stay sealed for decades. The seeds are already inside — whole, ready, waiting. But they won't release until the heat comes through and cracks them open.
Read that again.
The fire isn't destroying the tree. It's freeing what was already there.

Standing at the base of a 1,000-year-old tree does something to a person.
It reminds you how small your worries look from the long view. It reminds you that growth is slow, and slow is okay. It reminds you that the things that tried to break you… might have been the exact thing that grew you.
Your mind is a lot like that forest. Layers on layers. Old stories, old roots, old fires that shaped the whole landscape.

If you've ever wondered whether hypnotherapy is real — or whether it's just a stage trick — this post is for you. I'm going to tell you exactly what happens in a session, why it works, and why it's completely different from what you've seen on TV.

Here's what hypnotherapy is NOT: it's not mind control. You won't cluck like a chicken. You won't be unconscious. You won't do anything you don't want to do.
Stage hypnosis is entertainment. Clinical hypnotherapy is healing. Completely different things.

When I work with a client, I guide them into a deeply relaxed state — kind of like that floaty feeling right before you fall asleep.
You're aware of everything. You're in control the whole time.
In that state, we access the subconscious mind.
That's where your patterns, beliefs, and stored emotions live. That's where real change happens — not at the surface level, but at the ROOT.
