We are fortunate to have the opportunity to train the Emergency Response Team members at Trex on a monthly basis. This month the members were taught how to effectively set up hauling and lowering systems in order to execute a rescue off an elevated platform. They also went through extensive Confined Space Entry and Rescue training by some of our highly trained tech rescue instructors. The members are also trained in Medical, Fire Suppression and HazMat first response.

Before you send your little ghouls and goblins out for Halloween, be sure they are prepared for a safe and fun evening.

The CDC offers a list of best Halloween safety practices, including:

-Fasten reflective tape to costumes and bags
to help drivers see you.

-Hold a flashlight while trick-or-treating to help you see and others see you. WALK and don’t run from house to house.

-Never walk near lit candles or luminaries. Be sure to wear flame-resistant costumes.

-Wear well-fitting masks, costumes, and shoes to avoid blocked vision, trips, and falls.

For more safe Halloween tips visit the CDC's site.

Have a safe and fun Halloween!!
